The Eagles' offensive surge continued during a Tuesday matinee against Central Baptist (AR), with A&M-Texarkana pounding 12 hits in an 11-0 victory at Dobson Field. TAMUT (6-6 overall, 3-0 RRAC) won its fourth straight behind five doubles as a team and a monster 4-for-4 game from Masashi Takegama, who doubled and drove in four runs.
Kristoff Swanson had two hits and drove in two runs and Brandon Riley also drove in a pair. Six pitchers combined to nail down a shutout win, with Blake Taylor earning the win.
The Eagles head to Shreveport this weekend to take on No. 4 LSU-Shreveport on Friday at 6 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader starting at noon.
