Eagles Dominate Wiley University with Explosive Offense in 12-6 Victory

MARSHALL, Texas – Texas A&M University-Texarkana bounced back in a big way, securing a commanding 12-6 victory over Wiley College in Game 2 of the series on Wednesday. The Eagles' offense exploded for 14 hits, while strong pitching kept the Wildcats in check to earn the Eagles an away victory. 

A&M-Texarkana's bats came alive in the third inning, putting up a six-run frame to take an early lead. The Eagles tacked on three more runs in the fifth, then added insurance with runs in the seventh, eighth, and ninth to seal the victory.

Jonathan Rios led the charge, going 3-for-6 with a home run and two RBIs. Adam Garren also made an impact, driving in three runs on a 2-for-3 performance with a double. Marcus Tidwell and Freddie Madera each added an RBI, while Bobby Velasco and Conner Owens contributed to the offensive explosion.

The Eagles' pitching staff combined for nine strikeouts, limiting Wiley University to just six runs (two earned) on eight hits. Anthony Galindo (1-0) earned the win, tossing three solid innings while allowing just one run on two hits with two strikeouts. Thomas Ruehle and Aidan VanRider shut things down late, combining for 2.1 scoreless innings with two strikeouts.
