Eagles Bounce Back Against Generals in Game 3

Eagles Bounce Back Against Generals in Game 3

ALEXANDRIA, La.- The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Baseball team delivered a dominant performance in Game 3, avoiding a series sweep with a commanding 17-5 victory over the LSU-Alexandria Generals. The Eagles controlled the game on both offense and defense, overwhelming the Generals with their firepower at the plate and solid pitching. This win marked a strong response after two tough losses, allowing the Eagles to close the series on a high note.

Offensively, the Eagles exploded for 18 total hits, with Jonathan Rios (4-for-5) and Conner Owens (3-for-4) leading the charge. The entire lineup contributed, as nine different Eagles recorded hits, with six players tallying multiple hits. The highlight of the game came in the second inning when the Eagles erupted for eight runs on eight hits, setting the tone for their offensive onslaught. Meanwhile, the Generals struggled to generate much offense, managing just five total hits in the game.

On the mound, Dylan Cabral delivered an excellent start for the Eagles, allowing only one run on two hits through five innings while striking out six. Blake Taylor and Anthony Galindo each pitched an inning in relief to secure the win. While the Generals were able to put five runs on the board, they never found the rhythm to match the Eagles' dominant performance. With this victory, Texas A&M-Texarkana maintained their position in a tie for third place in the conference standings, keeping them in contention as the season progresses.
