Bio
Chase Brewster is in his first season as the interim head baseball coach for the Eagles. Coach Brewster is no stranger to TAMUT or the Texarkana community, graduating from Texarkana College in 2009, and in 2011. He was recently named as a Distinguished Alumni of TAMUT.
Coach Brewster comes to the Eagles with an impressive resume, most recently as the owner and President of Sticks Baseball, a nationally ranked travel baseball program based out of Texarkana, AR. In nine years, the Sticks saw over 600 players move on to play college baseball, 56 MLB draft picks, and 5 Sticks players who played in the MLB including current St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn, LAA Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe, and Ashdown, AR native Jaden Hill with the Colorado Rockies.
Coach Brewster is the head coach of the Chicago White Sox Scout Team, and also a member of the White Sox Area Code coaching staff. He is the Head Coach of the Rockford Rivets in the Northwoods League as well. While he is a coach at heart, he also has scouting experience, serving as an Associate Scout for Los Angeles Dodgers and Josh Herzenberg.
This is Coach Brewster's second stint working on George Dobson Field, home of the Eagles. He started his coaching career in 2009 at Texarkana College where he assisted mentor and current University of Nebraska Head Coach Will Bolt. The Bulldogs would win the conference championship in 2009. He would serve as a student assistant for Coach Bolt for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. They would win the conference in 2008 as well.
Coach Brewster holds his Master’s Degree from Southern New Hampshire University. He is married to his beautiful wife, Alisha, who is also a Texarkana native.
