Bio
Wade Elliott was added to the Texas A&M-Texarkana baseball staff as the hitting and infield coach in January 2025. He arrives in Texarkana after a season with the Miami Marlins as a MiLB hitting coach and hitting technology consultant. During his time with the Marlins, he oversaw the Marlins Rookie Team hitters to a Florida Complex League best record of 39-15 and a playoff appearance. Previous to that he was the Assistant Player Development/Analytics Coordinator at the University of Oregon for two seasons. During his time in Eugene the Ducks won the PAC-12 Tournament in 2023 and two NCAA Tournament berths including two Super Regional appearances in 2023 and 2024.
During his playing days, Elliott attended the University of Missouri, Grayson College and Louisiana Tech University. While at Grayson College Elliott was named a Baseball America Top 100 JUCO Prospects in 2019-2021 and helped the Vikings to a JUCO Region-5 Conference Title in 2019. In 2022 Elliott helped Louisiana Tech to a C-USA Tournament Championship that included a NCAA Regional Tournament berth. Elliott also won the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal in 2022. Elliott now resides in Nash, TX with his wife Shelby.
