Brown Wins Defensive Player of the Week Award

WACO, Texas – Pablo Dominguez de Leon of LSU Alexandria (La.) received the RRAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award for Oct. 14-20, while Seth Brown of Texas A&M University-Texarkana was selected as the RRAC Defensive Player of the week for the same dates. This is the ninth set of conference winners for the 2024 men's soccer season.

De Leon was credited with both game-winning goals in a 2-0 week for the Generals. The junior forward from Madrid, Spain, got LSUA started in a 3-0 win over the University of Houston-Victoria (Texas), and he netted both goals in a 2-0 victory over Huston-Tillotson University (Texas) on Saturday. De Leon ranks eight in the conference in goals scored (7), and he is 12th in points (14). The Generals improved to 7-0-2 in league play and 9-3-2 on the season.

Brown posted a pair of shutouts as the Eagles recorded a win and a draw last week. The sophomore goalkeeper from Dallas made four saves in a 4-0 victory over Paul Quinn College (Texas) and tacked on another four in a 0-0 tie with University of the Southwest (N.M.). Brown is third in the RRAC with 64 saves. TAMUT moved to 3-5-2 in conference competition and 5-7-3 overall.
