The Eagles were on the road this weekend as they traveled to Shreveport, Louisiana to take on the Pilots of LSU-Shreveport at the Pilots home field, The Swamp. The Eagles would succumb to the 1st place Pilots in a 1-0 defeat.
In the first half, the Pilots proved to be a force as they would produce 11 shots (6 on goal), but Eagles goalie Seth Brown would make some clutch saves to hold the Pilots scoreless in the first half. The Eagles would only produce 1 shot on goal in the first half by Cristobal De Leon but Pilots goalie Kyle Mcleish would come up with the save. Going into the half, the pair was tied 0-0.
The Pilots quickly got on the board at the start of the second half, the lone goal of the game was scored by Joel Trueb in the 50th minute. The Eagles battled to the end but would fall to the Pilots at the conclusion of the 90 minutes.
The Eagles fall to 5-8-3 overall and 3-6-2 in conference. The Eagles currently sit at 8th place in the RRAC, just on the cusp of making the conference tournament with only two games left.
Men's Soccer will be back in action on October 31st at Jarvis Christian University in Hawkins, Texas. Kickoff is set for 3:30pm.
