Men’s Cross Country Faces Tough Competition and Prepares for Championship

Men's Cross Country traveled to College Station to compete in the Arturo Barrios Invitational. Head Coach Natnael Amare shared his praises for his team in a post race reflection;

"Today, our men's cross country team faced stiff competition, with Division I schools traveling in from all over. Oklahoma City, ranked number four nationally in NAIA, was also part of the field. The conditions were cool, breezy, and a bit dusty, but the team responded with grit.

Despite being a little shorthanded, the team showed great consistency. Shea stood out with a major improvement, and the rest of the team competed with strong determination.

With the conference championships just two weeks away, I couldn't be more proud of the team's progress. This race was a solid test of our readiness, and now it's about staying focused, working together, and preparing for the challenges ahead."

Shea Johnson was the highest placing Eagle with an 8k time of 25:14.9.

The Eagles next competition will be the RRAC Championships on November 1st in Windcrest, Texas.
