With season on the line, offense explodes to put Eagles into final day at RRAC tournament
ALEXANDRIA, Louisiana — In their first 44 games, the A&M-Texarkana Softball team scored 10 or more runs on just two occasions. On Sunday, the Eagles did it twice in as many games to stave off elimination and move on to the final day of the RRAC Softball Championship in Alexandria.
The Eagles (25-21) opened the day with a 13-7 win over A&M-San Antonio and ended it with a 10-2 run-rule win over Houston-Victoria, eliminating both teams and setting up a big game with Our Lady of the Lake on Monday, with the winner advancing to the championship game, and the loser going home. The Eagles and Our Lady of the Lake will play Monday at noon.
