
Eagles Soar Over Dallas Christian 92-42
Victoria Hill (JR/Texarkana, AR) turned in a season-high 18-point performance as the Eagles picked up their 1st win with a 92-42 victory over Dallas Christian College. TAMUT is now 1-3 on the season after tonight's 50-point win against the Crusaders.
FIRST HALF
The Eagles started hot out of the gate as they built a 19-9 lead after the first quarter of play. Hill helped carry TAMUT through the first quarter with 7 points in the opening frame. The Eagle defense turned up the intensity in the second quarter holding DCC to 4 points as the Eagles grabbed a 31-point lead going into the locker room.
SECOND HALF
The Eagles picked up where they left off in the second half as they outscored the Patriots 48-29 in the final 20 minutes of the contest. Mackenzie Cardenas (JR/Pasadena, TX) let her presence be known as she would drop 12 points on 6-6 shooting from the field. Mi'lan Francis-Miller (SO/Houston, TX) would be the only other Eagle in double-digits finishing the night with 11 points. The TAMUT defense was a key factor in the game as they forced 28 turnovers, which led to 24 points for the Eagles. TAMUT came up with 12 steals in the contest.
