
Three Eagles Receive All-Conference Honors
WACO, Texas – Making an immediate impact, Natalia Trevino of Texas A&M-San Antonio received the 2024-25 RRAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year award with the announcement of this season's All-Conference Team.
2024-25 RRAC Women's Basketball All-Conference Team
Trevino returned to the conference to play in the Jaguars' inaugural season in women's basketball. The former Our Lady of the Lake standout was a member of the 2022-23 all-conference first-team and she returned to first-team status. Trevino was fourth in the conference in scoring with 18.2 points per game while finishing sixth in assists (108) and second in steals (84). She was also fifth with 57 three-pointers made.
Erynn Williams of LSU Shreveport was named the RRAC Defensive Player of the Year while leading the Pilots to the top of the conference. The senior guard was second in the conference with 3.1 steals per game, and she was third in total steals (81). Williams and LSUS limited opponents to a league-leading 52.7 points per game.
Kam Shelley of Xavier helped lead the Gold Nuggets to a 22-2 conference mark and received the RRAC Newcomer of the Year award. The graduate transfer from Langston was ninth in the conference in scoring with 14.5 points per game while ranking fourth in field goals made.
Aliyah Carter of Huston-Tillotson garnered RRAC Freshman of the Year recognition. The two-time RRAC Player of the Week from Pflugerville, Texas, placed third in assists in the RRAC with 116, and she averaged 11.5 points per game in her rookie season.
Tim Hays was named the RRAC Coach of the Year in his debut season with LSU Shreveport. While leading the Pilots to a national ranking, he posted a 23-1 conference mark to take the league title. LSUS enters the RRAC tournament as the top seed.
Milinda Arguellez of Southwest, Dannah Martin-Hartwick of LSU Alexandria, and Kayla Williams were repeat selections as all-conference first-teamers.
Three Eagles were named to the RRAC All-Conference Teams for the 2024-25 season:
- Senior Kayla Williams was named to the First Team All-Conference for the second year in a row
- Williams averages 14.8 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 1.8 apg, and shot 47.4% from the field, 40.3% from beyond the arc, and 75.5% from the line.
- Junior Chi'onne Dailey earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors
- Dailey averaged 12.6 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 3.1 apg, and shot 33.3% from the field, 26.4% from beyond the arc, and 69.6% from the line.
- Senior Quren Santiago was named to the RRAC Champions of Character Team.
- Santiago averaged 4.9 ppg, 1.5 apg, 2.8 rpg, and shot 33.6% from the field, 27% from beyond the arc, and 84.2% from the line.
