The TAMUE Eagles women's soccer team opened the 2024 season at home on August 24th against Nelson University. Nelson scored in the opening minute of the game to put the Eagles behind early, but the Eagles evened the score less than a minute later with a goal by Alexia Lara who was assisted by Alecia Loera.
The Early goal would prove to be the only one of the match for Nelson, as the Eagles scored again at the 7:13 mark on a goal by Desiree Navaraez. The Eagles scored three more goals by Abigail McGuire, Rylie Williams, and Delani Chappell en route to a dominant 5-1 victory.
The Eagles look to begin a win streak with another home game on Tuesday, August 27th against Williams Baptist. The match begins at 5:00 p.m.
