Narvaez Scores 2 to Propel the Eagles to a Win in Conference Opener

Women's soccer defeated the Jaguars of Texas A&M-San Antonio Thursday afternoon, in the conference opener on Judy Kelley Morgan Field. Brooklyn Lattier would get the goals started for the Eagles off an assist from Desiree Narvaez early in the first half. The Jaguars would capitalize on a penalty kick in the box and tie the score at 1-1 with just under ten minutes left in the first half. The score did not remain tied for long however, Kenya Reynolds would add another to the mix off an assist by Rylie Williams, taking the Eagles into halftime leading with a score of 2-1. 

The Eagles came out with intensity at half and quickly added another goal to their total scored by Desiree Narvaez, assisted by Brooklyn Lattier. To seal the win for the Eagles Narvaez would send another ball to the back of the net putting the Eagles ahead 4-1. The Jaguars remained scoreless the entirety of the second half and the result of the game was 4-1 in favor of Texas A&M-Texarkana.

The Eagles improve to 6-0-0 on the season and 1-0-0 in conference play. The Eagles are back in action this Saturday at home against the Saints of Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) at 1:00 pm.
