Senior Day Triumph over the Steers of Texas College

The Eagles secured a victory on Senior Day! Saturday Women's Soccer celebrated their 8 seniors on their last home game of regular season. This year's eight seniors for Women's Soccer were:  Zoe Quintanilla, Judith Belman, Genesis Fu, Jazmin Tijerina, Taylor Abell, Abigail McGuire, Sascha Marcellin, and Sofia Reyes

Women's Soccer hosted the Steers of Texas College for their last regular season game of season. The Eagles beat the Steers in a 10-0 shutout.

The Eagles quickly got on the board off a goal from Brooklyn Lattier, assisted by senior Zoe Quintanilla. Senior Sofia Reyes would follow that goal with one of her own just minutes later off an assist from Desiree Narvaez. The Eagles would put one more goal in the back of the net in the 28th minute on a senior-to-senior connection from Judith Belman (assist) and Zoe Quintanilla (goal). Going into half, the Eagles would be up 3-0 over the Steers.

Lillianna Matranga would kickstart the goals for the Eagles in the second half off an assist by Alicia Loera in the 49th minute, and then Loera would be returned the favor by Alison Rosas in the 50th minute with a goal of her own. Rylie Williams would add another goal to the mix for the Eagles off another assist from Rosas, making the score 6-0 for the Eagles, with just over 30 minutes left of play. Makayla Mohair would bury one in the back of the net for the Eagles just minutes before one final substitution would be made and the Eagles would put all their seniors back into the game for the remaining 15 minutes and the seniors did not disappoint. senior Abigail McGuire would score off an assist by Daniela Pena in the 83rd minute, senior Sascha Marcellin would score a goal (unassisted) in the 88th minute, and to end the game senior Genesis Fu would score off an assist from senior Judith Belman to make the final score 10-0 in favor of the Eagles. 

The Eagles end regular season 13-3-1 overall and 9-3-1 in conference play. The Eagles would finish ranked 5th in the conference and clenched a spot in the RRAC Women's Soccer Tournament. 

The Eagles will be traveling for their first game of the tournament play to LSU-Alexandria later this week, the date and time is TBD.
