Texarkana, Texas – The Texas A&M University-Texarkana women's soccer team put on a dominant performance Tuesday evening, rolling past Central Baptist 5-0 at home on Judy Kelley Morgan Field.
The Eagles wasted no time setting the tone, as Desiree Narvaez struck twice in the opening 25 minutes—first finishing a feed from Brooklyn Lattier in the 3rd minute, then doubling the lead off an assist from Makayla Mohair. Emily Navarrete added a third just before halftime, converting a setup from Lilliana Tapia to send TAMUT into the break up 3-0.
The Eagles continued their pressure after the restart, with Mariah Oggs and Halie Pletcher each scoring unassisted goals to put the game out of reach.
Texarkana outshot Central Baptist 35-1, including a 19-1 edge on goal, while holding a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks. Nayomy Cueva and Makenzie Dellinger combined for the shutout, with Cueva recording the lone save needed to preserve it.
Women's soccer returns to action Saturday, September 13, with a non-conference home matchup against Wiley University. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
