TAMUT Track & Field Announces 2025–26 Outdoor Schedule
TEXARKANA, Texas – The 2025–26 outdoor season is on the horizon, and excitement continues to build as Texas A&M University–Texarkana men's and women's track and field prepares for its second competitive season and first outdoor campaign in program history.
Under the leadership of the program's inaugural coaching staff, the Eagles will look to carry the momentum from their historic indoor debut into a challenging and opportunity-filled outdoor slate. The schedule features nine meets across four states, highlighted by premier competitions such as the prestigious Texas Relays and the NAIA National Championships.
TAMUT will officially open its outdoor season — and make program history — on March 13 by hosting the first-ever home track and field meet in school history. The TAMUT Opener will take place at Pleasant Grove High School in Texarkana, marking a significant milestone for the Eagles as they compete on home soil for the first time.
The Eagles will remain on the road throughout the spring, beginning with the Ouachita Baptist Invite on March 14 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. The following weekend, TAMUT travels to Oxford, Mississippi for the Ole Miss Classic before heading to Nacogdoches for the Carl Knight Multi / Invite on April 2-3.
On April 9-10 the Eagles will head to Searcy, Arkansas to compete in the Harding Multis, and will finish out April regular season competition at Louisiana Tech at the Jim Mize Invitational.
Championship season begins April 24–25 at the Red River Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships in New Orleans, Louisiana, hosted at Tad Gormley Stadium. The Eagles will make a final tune-up appearance at the SMU Invite on May 1–2 before turning their focus to the national stage.
The outdoor campaign will culminate May 20–22 in Asheville, North Carolina, at the NAIA National Championships, where qualifying Eagles will compete against the best athletes in the country.
Indoor vs. Outdoor: What Changes?
