Women's Volleyball took on the Saints from Our Lady of the Lake University this weekend. The teams split the series each taking home a conference win out of the weekend.
In Friday's game the Eagles took down the Saints in three sets (25-23,25-21,28-26). The two teams would battle back and forth each set, but the Eagles were able to hold off the Saints and take game one. Ja'Kerra Holt and Alanna Deering led both teams in kills tallying 12 each, and Mia Mata would add 14 digs to the mix for the Eagles.
In Saturday's game, the Saints were able to overcome the Eagles and take the game in four sets (25-16,23-25,15-25,22-25). The Eagles would take the first set, but the Saints came back and took the next three, securing their first conference win for this season. Mia Dorsey would lead both teams in kills with 17 with teammate Camila Ramirez right behind her with 15. Stats leaders for the Eagles were Paulina Dobreva with 12 kills, and Kaitlyn Cabral with 24 digs.
The Eagles will be back in action Friday the 27th against the Bulldogs from Jarvis Christian University at home in the Patterson Student Center at 6:00 pm.
