The Win Streak Continues for Women's Volleyball

Women's Volleyball competed against the Tigers from Paul Quinn College this weekend at home in the Patterson Student Center. The Eagles successfully completed a sweep of the Tigers winning game one 3-0 and game two 3-1. The Eagles extended their win streak to 6 games and gave themselves a 2-game cushion to hold onto first place in the RRAC rankings. 

In game one the Eagles would win 25-14, 25-17, 25-19. The Eagles proved themselves an offensive threat by tallying 42 kills in three sets (17,12,13), whereas the Tigers only recorded 24. Stats leaders for the Eagles in game one were Mia Mata with 11 digs and 9 kills, Kaitlyn Cabral with 9 kills as well, and Kimberlee Joyce and Zoe Martinez both recording 15 assists each. 

In game two the Eagles would win in four sets 25-16, 19-25, 25-11, 25-13. Game two started off like that of game one, however Paul Quinn was not going down without a fight and snuck a set out from underneath the Eagles winning 25-19. The Eagles would go on to dominate in the final two sets and finish the sweep of the Tigers. Stats leaders for the Eagles in game two were Kaitlyn Cabral with 20 kills and 17 digs, Kimberlee Joyce with 22 assists, and Ja'Kerra Holt with 5 blocks.

The Eagles will be back in action next weekend during Homecoming against the Mustangs from University of the Southwest in the Patterson Student Center. Game one is set for Friday October 18th at 7:00pm, and game two is set for 12:00pm Saturday October 19th
