Women's Volleyball Secures a Win on Senior Night

The Eagles celebrated their Seniors Friday night with a 3-0 shutout of the Wildcats from Wiley University. Women's Volleyball recognized their five seniors at their last home game of the season, Madison Arrieta, Sasha Bajek, Ja'Kerra Holt, Kimberlee Joyce, and Katherine Toftemark.
The Eagles would defeat the Wildcats in three sets (25-9,25-14, 25-5), and show an offensive force by recording 38 kills, only 5 attacking errors, and a team wide .429 kill percentage in three sets. The Eagles would also tally 6 service aces on the match 3 by Senior Ja'Kerra Holt and 3 by Senior Kimberlee Joyce.
Senior Ja'Kerra Holt had a stellar performance to top off Senior Night for the Eagles, in addition to the 3 service aces, she recorded 2 blocks, 12 kills, and had a .556 kill percentage on the night.
Senior Kimberlee Joyce would lead the Eagles with 27 assists, and Sophomore Kaitlyn Cabral would add 10 digs to the mix.
The Eagles advance to 18-10 overall and 13-1 in conference and continue their 11-game win streak. The Eagles will compete in their last conference matchup of the season Friday November 8th at Texas College in Tyler, Texas. The Steers and Eagles will play a double header on Friday game one is set to start at 2:00pm and game two is set for 6:00pm.
