Five Eagles Qualify for NAIA Nationals

The NAIA announced earlier this week the qualifiers for this year's NAIA Cross Country Nationals. Five Eagles have qualified for the 2024 NAIA Cross Country Championships. Cross Country Nationals will be held at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri on November 22^nd. 

Women Qualifiers: 

• Sophomore Zalenka Brannan (Whitesboro, Texas)
• Freshman Kayla Reeves (Nacogdoches, Texas)
• Sophomore Daniela Hernandez (Texarkana, Texas)

Men Qualifiers:

• Freshman Isaac Cupp (Aledo, Texas)
• Junior Shea Johnson (Marble Falls, Texas)

In the RRAC Championship meet the Eagles had strong performances. Zalenka Brannan would finish in 2^nd,  Kayla Reeves 6^th, and Daniela Hernandez would round out the top 10 with a 10^th place finish for the Eagles. On the Men's side, Shea Johnson would be named the RRAC Individual Champion and Isaac Cupp would record a 3^rd place finish for the Eagles. Cupp and Reeves would both earn this year's Freshman of the Year award in addition to their top 10 finishes in the conference meet. 

The men will run the 8000 meter race first at 10:30am, followed by the women competing in the 6000 meter race at 11:30am.
