Eagles Fall Short Against Williams Baptist, Losing 3-0

The A&M-Texarkana Men's soccer team played host to Williams Baptist University on Tuesday, August 27th and struggled to find their footing against a solid opponent. Williams Baptist defeated the hometown Eagles by a score of 3-0, as the squad from A&M-Texarkana seemed to have never gotten into a good rhythm. "We didn't play our best game," said Eagles head coach Don Koontz. "It seemed like our energy was low," he added.

Goaltender Seth Brown managed to save five of the eight shots on goal, but the Eagles offense was unable to put the ball into the net. Adrian Briceno scored a first-half goal for the Williams squad, while Dawson Sawyer and Lucas Belinello each scored a goal in the second half.
