TEXARKANA, Texas- Texas A&M University-Texarkana Baseball secured a hard-fought series win over the Our Lady of the Lake Saints, showcasing resilience, depth, and timely execution throughout the three-game matchup. After a challenging start, they responded with strong team performances both offensively and defensively, capitalizing on key opportunities and maintaining composure in close games. Consistent contributions from the lineup and bullpen played a major role in their ability to bounce back and ultimately take the series, highlighting the team's determination and competitive spirit.
Game 1: Saints 14, Eagles 4
In Game 1 of the series, the Eagles showed early resilience but ultimately fell to the Our Lady of the Lake Saints, 14–4. The Saints came out with strong offensive momentum, tallying 19 hits, but the Eagles were able to limit the damage in the early innings thanks to a solid start from Blake Taylor. Taylor kept the game within reach, allowing just five runs through five competitive innings.
