Women’s Soccer Takes Down the Tigers 11-0, Eight Different Eagles Score

Women's Soccer took on the Tigers of Paul Quinn College this afternoon on Judy Kelley Morgan Field. The Eagles would end up defeating the Tigers 11-0. The Eagles shared the love in scoring today as eight different Eagles would record at least a goal each. 

In the 3rd minute the Eagles would be put on the board by Brooklyn Lattier off an assist from Desiree Narvaez. Just a minute later Alexia Lara would score off a cross from Rylie Williams and the relay from Narvaez. Williams would go on to tally two more goals for the Eagles within the 10-minute mark, the first, off an assist from Emma Contreras, the second (#4 for the Eagles), unassisted. The Eagles would add three more goals to their total before the halftime whistle, goals were scored by Makayla Mohair, Genesis Fu, and Emily Navarrete assisted by Sofia Reyes (2) and Kenya Reynolds. At the half, the score would be 7-0 with 45 minutes left to play. 

Kenya Reynolds would start the second half scoring frenzy in the 75th minute off an assist from Makayla Mohair. Rylie Williams would again score the next two goals for the Eagles off assists from Kenya Reynolds and Dana Memije. The Eagles snuck one last goal in before the final whistle blew in the 88th minute by Sofia Reyes off an assist from Dana Memije. The Eagles would be up 11-0 over the Tigers at the conclusion of the 90 minutes. 

Freshman Rylie Williams is now second in the conference for most goals scored on the season and Sophomore Desiree Narvaez is tied for 3rd in the same category. Narvaez is also second in the conference for assists on the season and Sophomore Brooklyn Lattier is tied in 4th for season assists. Three Eagles Narvaez, Williams, and Lattier are all within the top five in points scored on the season. 

The Eagles move to 10-2-1 overall and 6-2-1 in conference play. Women's Soccer will be back in action at home, this Saturday October 19th versus the Mustangs from Southwest  during Homecoming, kickoff is set for 1:00pm.
